Do you enjoy working with children?

Dance Ability is a program located at Dance Elite in Milton, and we are looking for volunteers to help children with a variety of abilities to participate in dance classes throughout the school year.

Who do we need?

Dedicated individuals looking to have fun and learn valuable life skills in working with children.  You will be a buddy and friend for one of our dancing stars! Without our volunteers, the classes would not be possible!

* Dance experience is not required!

Dance Ability is a new program in which students with special needs are paired 1:1 with a volunteer to enable them to participate in this dance class. Students are given the opportunity to take a dance class like any other child, and to participate in a professional end of year recital.  Volunteers act as a mentor for their student buddy and gain experience working with children with special needs. The program is organized by an Occupational Therapist and certified dance instructor, and supported by a Physiotherapist.

-Programs run weekly on Saturdays from September 17 2011 to the end of May 2012

-Three classes between 1:00pm-3:15pm on Saturdays

-Dance studio located in Milton
